Windsor, Florida

Steep pitched roofs, open eaves, exposed rafters, cantilevered balconies, and warm neutral colors beckon the Anglo-Caribbean style.
Set high above the mangrove trees and overlooking the beautiful Indian River lagoon, this condominium in Windsor, Florida was intended to be a quiet respite for this New York-based CFO and his wife and children. Windsor has won critical acclaim throughout the architectural community for aesthetically blending classic southern and island home styles with a contemporary appeal. Steep pitched roofs, open eaves, exposed rafters, cantilevered balconies, and warm neutral colors beckon the Anglo-Caribbean style. A new development within Windsor, we inherited a classic “white box”. The space was essentially unfinished, so we set to work to continue Windsor’s unique style within the condominium’s walls. The space was crisply tailored with millwork throughout including ceiling beams in the Great Room and paneling in the Foyer. Custom furniture-grade cabinetry was incorporated into each main living area and includes one of my favorite elements of this project — a custom, retractable mechanism to conceal a TV behind the painting that was the inspiration for our interior palette.
